I see a need for a place to write it all down before it's too late, so to speak. Many parents have passed away, going to join the sons they lost in Vietnam. Brothers, sisters and children are aging and memories are fading. Soon there will be no one left to tell their story and my fear is these men will be forgotten. I don't want that to happen.
I have compiled a list of names. I'm familiar with many families who lost their loved ones from Killen, Lexington and Rogersville. The Florence and Cloverdale areas may prove to be a bit of a challenge and that's where you come in. Email me at louisesflowers256@gmail.com if you have a connection to one of these brave men or a story to share. Readers can write a guest blog or share details and I'll write it.
Below is a list of our local fallen veterans from the Vietnam War. Please take a few minutes, read the names, take time to reflect upon the sacrifice they made and say a prayer for those they left behind. If I missed anyone, let me know and I'll add them ASAP.
